Difficulty is a consensus of several guides, which disagree, especially on Ranger and Gladiator.

Tier lists change with every balance patch, and many online were written for Korea. Pick the playstyle you enjoy; every class can clear Season 1 content.

How Stigmas work

Stigmas are extra skills slotted on top of your class's 22 regular skills. Each class has 13 to choose from.

Slots

  • 4 slots, opening at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37. (Korea has 6; builds copied from there list more.)
  • The first also needs the Ascension quest The One Who Hears the Voice (recommended level 22), which also gives your first shard.
  • You can't swap Stigmas in combat.

Leveling them up

Stigma levelShard points per levelRunning total
1–515
6–10215
11–15435
16–20875

Bonus effects unlock automatically at levels 5, 10, 15 and 20. Level 20 is the maximum on Global (Korea allows 25). Shards are scarce, so get every slotted Stigma to level 5 first, then push your most important one. Use the Stigma shard calculator to plan.

Where shards come from

  • Leveling: 1 point per level from 23 to 39, 2 per level from 40 to 45.
  • Abyss Trade Shop, the main source: 200 shards in four price steps of 50 (10,000, 15,000, 20,000 and 25,000 Abyss Points each).
  • Nightmare Shop and Shugo Festival Shop: up to 35 each per character.
  • Achievements (2 per milestone), the battle pass, and Arena and battlefield shops.
  • Unstable Stigma Shards from party dungeons, turned into full shards with Substance Morph.
